Last weekend, we set off on a getaway to Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts to visit our hosts AC Hotel Boston Downtown and AC Hotel Cambridge. We couldn’t wait to unwind and explore, so we set off on our mini-getaway as soon as we arrived home from work. Hope you find this review insightful!
Upon arrival at AC Hotel Boston Downtown, we were very happy with the location (although traffic was heavy). The hotel is just a short walk/drive to some of Boston’s most noteworthy attractions.
- Museum of Fine Arts
- Logan Airport
- Freedom Trail
- The Boston Children’s Museum
- Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum
- Boston Aquarium
- Faneuil Hall
- Fenway Park
We arrived on Friday evening at AC Hotel Downtown Boston. The valet was prompt in greeting us and kindly helped us with our luggage, Daniella at the front desk welcomed us with a smile and answered our questions as she checked us in and informed us about the near-by restaurants and attractions.
Thank you to AC Hotel Downtown Boston for the sweet surprise waiting for us in our room!
Both hotels feature European-inspired design, modern decor, and special thoughtful touches, such as coffee, tea, or hot cider (with mulling spices!) available in the lobbies, the AC Hotel Signature scent “Between the Woods”, custom cocktails, the AC Store, and (my personal favorite) a station to fill-our-own lavender pouches!
The hotels stylish rooms feature efficient layouts, modern décor, “white noise” machines, toiletries such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, comfortable mattresses, fresh linens & plush pillows, a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, relaxing rainfall showers, and 50-inch Smart TVs loaded with premium cable channels.
Hotel amenities include a European-inspired breakfast (price varies per location, selections include:sweet and savory Spanish egg tarts take the place of traditional eggs. Imported, freshly sliced prosciutto, French croissants, fresh fruits, cheeses, muesli, yogurt, Nespresso coffee and more).
The AC Lounge (serving craft beer, hand-crafted cocktails, and tapas-style small plates), flexible workspaces, a 24-hour fitness center (stocked with state-of-the-art equipment, tv’s, bottled waters, fresh fruit, towels and earbuds), business services, heated salt water infused pool (at the Cambridge location), and meeting spaces.
We thoroughly enjoy our weekend away at AC Hotels. We hope to visit more of their locations in the future! If you are looking to book your own stay, whether it’s close to home or at one of there worldwide locations, visit the AC Hotels website HERE.
