The first annual United Way 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 15th at the United Way of Tri-County Offices, 46 Park Street, in Framingham. Proceeds will support three United Way services including Hunger Relief, Early Literacy, and Suicide Prevention/Mental Health Support. There are cash prizes for top male and female winners in eight age categories, and a pair of Oofos Recovery Sandals.
This family fun event will include raffle prizes, vendor tables, and face painting for the kids. Registration/check-in is open from 7:30 – 8:30 am, the race begins promptly at 9:00 am. This is a chip-timed race that will take runners through portions of Downtown Framingham and around Farm Pond. Sponsors include Avidia Bank, Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects, Kathleen Daniel Healthcare, Southborough Medical Group, and the United Way’s Annual Gold Sponsor Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
