I received a box of Gather Chocolates from Harbor Sweets to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
We all have a few people on our holiday shopping lists that are impossible to shop for. I say when in doubt give CHOCOLATE! Who wouldn’t love an indulgent box of locally made sweets?!
Harbor Sweets located right in Salem, Massachusetts has been producing handcrafted artisan chocolates from it’s original red brick building at 85 Levitt Street (stop by for a visit!) since 1973. Harbor Sweets and Gather are sold at high-end gourmet grocers, gift shops and online at HarborSweets.com
Their new small-batch collection, Gather, was inspired by the plight of honeybees. A portion of the sales (2.5%) of Gather chocolates will be donated to the Pollinator Partnership, a 501c3 NGO that educates and advocates for best beekeeping practices. So not only are you supporting a local business but you are also donating to a wonderful cause! You can learn more at www.pollinators.org.
Each of the of six dark chocolate flavors are infused with wildflower honey and packaged in a beautiful, gold, honeycomb-shaped box. A six-piece box is $12.50 and a 12-piece box is $18.50 MSRP.
My personal favorite of the six was the Sesame crunch! Perfect mix of sweet and salty with a great crunch. Although it was hard to choose just one, they were all delicious!
