Staycation at Cape Codder Resort and Spa
We were hosted in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
There’s always something new and exciting going on at Cape Codder Resort and Spa. With so much to do, it’s the perfect spot for a weekend family getaway or a longer vacation. Chances are, once you’re there, you won’t want to leave. It really is that much fun!
Two of the newest additions to Cape Codder Resort are the family suites and the super-cool indoor water park. Both of these things are designed to make your stay better even than before. Let’s talk a little bit about each of them.
Family Suites
Each family suite accommodates up to six people. It features a living room, master bedroom, two bathrooms and a kitchenette. The living room has a dining area and a table for four, which doubles as a queen-size Murphy bed. The sectional also pulls out and sleeps two comfortably.
The master bedroom is equipped with a king size bed. There is also an HD flat-panel TV and access to the master bathroom with double sinks and large shower. The second bathroom has a bathtub.
Other amenities include wi-fi access, an interactive television system, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, toiletry products, ironing board and more. All of Cape Codder’s family suites are located on the first floor, facing the new indoor water park.
The nautical decor and space in the family suite was perfect for us! The suite felt like a home away from home. We didn’t t feel cramped (like a regular hotel room). Plus 2 bathrooms was a huge plus!
Indoor Water Park
When you book your reservation directly with the hotel, access to the water park is included. Yay! You won’t find anything else like the indoor/outdoor waterpark anywhere else on Cape Cod. There are four waterslides, two of which are high-speed. The remaining two take you through a cool replica of a pirate ship. The kids couldn;t get enough of the water park. We spent a majority of our time hopping from area to area. Needless to say, everyone slept well each evening during or stay at the Cape Codder!
The 300-foot river area is comprised of rapids, waterfalls, and even a humpback whale. Other features include:
- kiddie spray pool (with water canyons, small waterslides and more)
- wave pool (with water umbrella and fountains)
- Jacuzzi (accommodates up to 24 people)
- saunas
- changing rooms
- fitness center
- birthday party area
- Gazebo Café (tons of yummy food and a full bar)
The water park is open seven days a week. It uses a high-intensity (ultraviolet) purification system that ensures the water remains extremely clean, at all times. Hours of operation vary, depending on the day of the week.
Day passes are available, in the event that you don’t have overnight reservations. Both locker and towel rentals are available to day-pass guests.
I was able to sneak away for a little “me time” to the Beach Plum Spa as well! I enjoyed a relaxing massage and some time in the Chromotherepy Sauna.
The Cape Codder Resort & Spa offer a variety of dining option on-site as well (so no need to leave the resort!) The Hearth ‘n Kettle Restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A little more romantic visit our Grand Cru Wine Bar & Grill, featuring a creative dinner menu and live weekend entertainment. During the Summer season, guests can dine outside on “The Deck” for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or you can order up some room service after a long day at the water park, using the Guest Room Dining menu.
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, Cape Codder Resort & Spa always has something fun going on. This includes themed weekends, live music every Friday & Saturday, holiday events such as a visit from Santa, a light display and a variety of holiday concerts.
We had a great time making our own sundaes and roasting marshmallows by the fire in the evening!
Other examples include Pirate and Princess weekend which included a ball, a haunted Halloween package, and a Super Heros & Villains Weekend Event. Activities will include face painting, cape and shield making, a photo booth, superhero movies, a dance party and more.
The Cape Codder Family Resort & Spa is definitely the place to be when it comes to family fun. This destination is definitely worth checking out when trying to decide where to go for your next staycation. Seriously, you won’t regret!
Sounds like a great place. We’ll have to look into it. Thanks
