Impressive Facility
Whether rain or shine, the summer camp staff are ready for fun activities within the 28,000-square foot indoor turf facility! This area includes four full-sized indoor tennis sources and other massive open spaces to give campers adequate room for team sports, adventures, and free play.

The Shrewsbury Club prides itself on providing activities for all personality types and interests, and this large facility allows them to entertain multiple events, activities, and games at once. This vast space has also allowed them to thrive in the most recent global pandemic, as it provides each camper more than enough space to social distance while having a blast!
Exciting Team Sports
The camp values team sports for their ability to teach children and teens the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and sharing. On a whole other level, team sports are perfect for helping campers develop fine motor skills, gross motor control, teamwork, friendship, and healthy communication styles.

Staff members are trained to plan and teach age-appropriate team sports and activities. In addition, expert coaches on staff help serious players refine their skills in sports such as tennis, baseball, gymnastics, soccer and martial arts.

Additional Activities
At The Shrewsbury Club Summer Camp, they understand that team sports may not be everyone’s cup of tea. That is why they have designed their program to also have a variety of other activity options including swimming, gymnastics, martial arts, and even nature walks! With each additional activity, they are committed to providing campers the essential materials and knowledge to have a fulfilling, exciting, and educational experience.

So, whether your child could spend hours engaging in arts and crafts or you have a dedicated swimmer on your hands, they have a variety of fun and engaging to keep campers happy, entertained, and learning! Weekly Themes
Whether your camper is three years old or sixteen, Weekly Themes are sure to further engage your child and immerse them in the camp experience. The Shrewsbury Club recommends that each camper dresses up for the theme day using their own interpretation of that week’s theme. In addition, parents are invited each Friday at 3:30 PM to attend that week’s Theme Day Activity!

The creative Weekly Camp Themes include themes such as Summer Fun, Camp’s Got Talent, Color Week, Nutrition Week, Challenge Yourself Week, World Tour, and more! At the beginning of each session, the camp Director will advise all campers and parents of that week’s special theme.
Staff and Safety
Each of The Shrewsbury Club staff members comes highly qualified for the roles they were selected to serve in. This guarantees that all campers are receiving the best care, instruction, and coaching opportunities possible throughout the entire day!
The professional camp staff in charge of activities such as Martial Arts, Gymnastics, Baseball, Tennis, etc. are very knowledgeable in the areas that they teach and coach. Their goal to help campers refine their skills while also maintaining safety.
All staff members employed by The Shrewsbury Club Summer Camp are required to have up-to-date CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. These certifications must be good for both pediatrics as well as adults. The Shrewsbury Club is a licensed Red Cross Training Partner, which allows them to provide on-site training for their staff members.

To ensure campers are safe around the swimming pool, all campers are required to participate in a swim assessment on their first day of camp. The lifeguards and Aquatics Director will determine each camper’s swim level. Parents may send their campers with floatation devices and life vests if they are needed. These devices will be examined and approved by the Aquatics Director.
Important Covid Precautions
As mentioned, the staff members are very aware of all safety recommendations and precautions to take to prevent the spread of COVID. The Shrewsbury Club closely follows CDC guidelines and will continue to use these instructions going forward to ensure the safety of all campers and their families.
For the safety of everyone, face masks are required to be worn at all times when moving around the building or when closer than six feet to a non-family member. Each camper will have their temperature checked at drop-off, at pickup, and periodically throughout the day. In addition, there will routine breaks for handwashing and sanitizing.
As an additional precaution, campers will be asked to bring their own food and drinks from home. Sharing snacks and food won’t be permitted at this time so all campers and staff stay safe, happy, and healthy!
