About Bobs & LoLo:
Bobs & LoLo is an award winning music duo from Vancouver consisting of Robyn Hardy (Bobs), and Lorraine Pond (LoLo). “Their friendship began at the age of 8 when they both shared a strong passion for music and nature growing up in Nanaimo. They parted ways soon after meeting, but reconnected in high school with a shared love of nature and an enjoyment for teaching children. Pond was working as an environmental educator at the Vancouver Aquarium, and Hardy working as an elementary school teacher in Vancouver, when they had a conversation about using music to educate and teach. Their conversation inspired them to write their first few songs. After wildly successful performances at the Vancouver aquarium, schools, and private and community events, the musical-duo decided to record their first album in 2004. (wickipedia).”
Their 6th album Dirty Feet was released July 31st, 2015 and aims to connect kids to nature and the world with music, movement and imagination. This truly shines through in their positive, upbeat music!
Dirty Feet:
Bobs & LoLo’s new album Dirty Feet encourages children and parents alike to explore and enjoy the world around them through music and play.
The happy, upbeat, catchy, toe-tapping music explores kid-friendly topics from being yourself, animals, nature and the importance of friendship; because as the albums characters Hoot and Hop say, “Life’s an adventure best shared between friends!”.
Owen has really sparked an interested in exploring a variety of music styles, dancing and singing. So we were very excited to take a listen to our new CD in the car on our way to the grocery store.
From the first song, Owen was dancing in his seat! He easily caught on to the lyrics and I know after a few more listens he will be singing right along. His two favorite tunes are Busy Bee and Dirty Feet. Because having a song dedicated to dirty, stinky feet is funny to any 4-year-old boy! Now he requests “Dirty Feet” each time we get in the car!
With a good balance of original songs the album stays fresh through repeated listening. Dirty Feet covers a wide variety of styles from rock to country and everything in-between. If your children love music like mine I highly recommend checking out Bobs & LoLo’s new album Dirty Feet!
