Winter Reimagined debuts at Tower Hill this weekend
Tower Hill Botanic Garden is kicking off the holiday season this weekend with its 18th annual Holly Days celebration which includes more lights on display than ever and a focus on plant-inspired, eco-friendly ideas for decorating. This year’s theme, Winter Reimagined, is inspired by the nonprofit’s mission to promote appreciation for the role plants and horticulture can play in all aspects of our lives. The festivities – which include live music, dozens of trees decorated with hand-made ornaments, seasonal cafe cuisine, and gift items at the Shop – will run from Nov. 28 to Jan. 4. Children can participate in a Holly Days Scavenger Hunt, tour the grounds glittering with 12 miles of lights, and create their own natural ornaments and winter crafts. Extended hours during Holly Days include 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Tuesday. Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for ages 6 to 18, and free for children 5 and under.
